S6056/57 Fan Coil Actuator and Valve

The S6056 electric spring return actuator has 105N minimum seating force in a compact, easy-to install package. The on/off actuator provides two control positions (open and closed).

The S6057 brass valves are primarily designed to regulate the flow of water in response to the demand of a controller in zone and fan coil applications. They can be used in combination with the on/off series of S6056 fan coil actuators.

The valves are available in 2-way N.C. (Normally Closed) or 3-way configurations.

Operation Mode

When the power is on the actuator motor drives the other parts, overcoming resistance from the spring to push the valve stem downwards. When the power is off the return spring overcomes pressure from the medium and pushes the stem to the closed position.

The actuator drives the stem downwards and the valve core overcomes resistance from the stainless spring. It moves away from the valve seat, opening the normally closed port.

Mounting (S6056-S6057 combination)

• The fluid direction must be the same as the direction indicated by the arrow on the body.

• The mounting position is upright to horizontal in order to avoid water dripping inside.

• The valve must be connected with the water pipe correctly.

• Never use the actuator as a lever to move the valve body.

• The actuator must not be covered with insulating material.

• Sufficient clearance must be allowed for maintenance or detaching.

Warning

• Manual operation should not be forced to avoid damage to the actuator.

• The water quality should meet VDI-2035 or similar requirements for HVAC applications. Other media for the valve must be approved by Soloon Electronics.

• The electrical supply to the actuator should be turned off when repairs

are carried out in order to avoid possible damage to the equipment, personal injury or shock.

• Do not touch or disconnect wires when the power is on.
